Final Project: Concept Series

For this project, the concept chosen was Christmas and the product chosen was the Jordan 1 Nike shoe. The first image is of the shoes positioned in a way that looks as if they just came from the snowy outdoors with the shoes also imitating a cup of hot chocolate with marshmellows and peppermints in it. There is also wrapping paper as the backdrop of the scene. Three lights were used: a softbox overhead, and two reflector lights on each side of the shoes with color gels attached.

For the second photo in the series, the shoes were placed in a fireplace setting, and were meant to be similar to shoes hanging from a fireplace. Two reflector lights with color gels attached to them were placed on either side of the shoes, with a large softbox directly above the shoes, and powered low to help give a small amount of light back to the top of the shoes. 

For the third photo, the shoes were placed on the table on their sides with the laces out. Seasonal props were placed around the subject. The photo is meant to be an abstract representation of gift wrapping, with the green strips of ribbon and shiny bow on the shoe. there were two reflector lights with color gels attached, and a large softbox above the shoes.
